Psalm 104

1. Give blessing, my soul, to Yahweh!
Yahweh my God, great indeed you are -
barekhîy napheshîy ’eth-YHWH
YHWH ’elôhay gâdaletâ me’ôd
2. with majesty and splendour you clothe yourself
wrapping yourself in light like raiment
stretching out the heavens like a drape
hôwd wehâdâr lâbâshe
‘ôteh-’ôwr kassalemâh
teh shâmayim kayerîy‘âh
3. he lays on the waters the beams of his upper rooms
he appoints clouds his chariot
he goes upon the wings of ruach
hameqâreh bammayim ‘alîyyôwthayw
hassâm-‘âbîym rekhûbôw
hamehallêkh ‘al-kanephêy-rûach
4. making his messengers ruchoth
his ministers fire that flames
‘ôseh male’âkhâyw rûchôwth
meshârethâyw ’êsh lôhêt
5. you established the earth on its foundations
not to be overthrown always and forever
yâçad-’erets ‘al-mekhôwneyhâ
bal-timmôwt ‘ôwlâm wâ‘ed
6. the deep like cloths covered it
over the mountains upright stood the waters
tehôwm kallebûsh kiççîythôw
‘al-hârîym ya‘amedû-mâyim
7. from your rebuke they fled
from your voice of thunder they hurried (hastened)
min-ga‘arâthekhâ yenûçûn
min-qôwl ra‘amekhâ yachâphêzûn
8. they go (gone) over the mountains down into the valleys
towards the place you established for them
ya‘alû hârîym yêredû beqâ‘ôwth
’el-meqôwm zeh yâçadetâ lâhem
9. the boundary you set: never will they cross it,
never will they return to cover the earth
gebûl-sametâ bal-ya‘abôrûn
bal-yeshubûn lekhaççôwth hâ’ârets
10. sent forth as springs in the wadis
between the mountains they go
hameshallêach ma‘eyânîym bannechâlîym
bêyn hârîym yehallêkhûn
11. they water all the life of the fields
they break the wild asses thirst
yasheqû kol-chayethôw sâdây
yishberû pherâ’îym tsemâ’âm
12. upon them the birds of the heavens settle
from between the foliage they give their voice
‘alêyhem ‘ôwph-hashshâmayim yishekôwn
mibbêyn ‘âphâ’îym yittenû-qôwl
13. watering the mountains from his upper rooms
from the fruits of your work is satisfied the earth
masheqeh hârîym mê‘alîyyôwthâyw
mipperîy ma‘aseykhâ tiseba‘ hâ’ârets
14. causing to grow green grass/herbiage for the cattle
and herb/greenery for the labour of the adam
to bring out/call forth bread from the earth
matsemîyach châtsîyr labbehêmâh
we‘êseb la‘abôdath hâ’âdâm
lehôwtsîy’ lechem min-hâ’ârets
15. and wine that causes to rejoice the heart of mankind/humanity
to make shining faces from oil
and bread for the heart of mankind/humanity that sustains/supports
weyayin yesammach lebab-’enôwsh
lehatsehîyl pânîym mishshâmen
welechem lebab-’enôwsh yiçe‘âd
16. they are satisfied the trees of Yahweh
the cedars of Lebanon which he planted
yisbe‘û ‘atsêy YHWH
’arezêy lebânôwn ’asher nâtâ‘
17. which there the songbirds build
the stork the conifers her house
asher-shâm tsippârîym yeqannênû
chaçîydâh berûshîym bêythâh
18. the mountains great are for the mountain goats
the crags/cliffs a refuge/shelter for the rock badgers  
hârîym haggebôhîym layye‘êlîym
çelâ‘îym macheçeh lashephannîym
19. made the moon for/to seasons/appointed times
the sun knows his entrance/arrival
‘âsâh yârêach lemôw‘adîym
shemesh yâda‘ mebôw’ôw
20. he makes darkness and it is night
he comes the teeming about/creeping things/lightly moving all the life of the forest
tâsheth-chôshekh wayehîy lâylâh
bôw-thiremôs kol-chayethôw-yâ‘ar
21. the young roaring lions for/to the prey
and to seek from El their food
hakkephîyrîym shô’agîym lattâreph
ûlebaqqêsh mê’êl ’âkhelâm
22. he dawns the sun they are gathered up
and into their habitations they lie stretched down
tizerach hashshemesh yê’âçêphûn
we’el-me‘ôwnôthâm yirebâtsûn
23. out comes Adam to his work
and to his labour until evening
yêtsê’ ’âdâm lephâ‘âlôw
wela‘abôdâthôw ‘adêy-‘ârâb
24. how many/great are your deeds Yahweh
all in wisdom your doings
she is filled the earth with your makings
mâh-râbbôw ma‘aseykhâ YHWH
kullâm bechâkhmâh ‘âsîythâ
mâle’âh hâ’ârets qineyânekhâ
25. this the sea great and broad of hands
where teems and none can number
living things small with great
zeh hayyâm gâdôwl ûrechab yâdâyim
shâm-remes we’êyn miçepâr
chayyôwth qetannôwth ‘im-gedôlôwth
26. There boats go to and fro
Liuyathan, this you formed/fashioned/shaped to laugh/sport/play in it
shâm ’ânîyyôwth yehallêkhûn
liwyâthân zeh-yâtsaretâ lesacheq-bôw
27. all these to you they wait/hope for
to give their food in his time
kullâm ’êleykhâ yesabêrûn
lâthêth ’akhelâm be‘ittôw
28. you give to them they gather/glean/pick up
you open your hand they are satisfied with good things
tittên lâhem yiletûn
tiphetach yâdekhâ yisbe‘ûn tôwb
29. you hide your face they are disturbed/dismayed/terrified/shaken
you gather up your ruach they expire
and into dust they return
taçetîyr pâneykhâ yibbâhêlûn
tôçêph rûchâm yigewâ‘ûn
we’el-‘aphârâm yeshûbûn
30. you send forth/send out your ruach they are created
and you renew the face of the ground
teshallach rûchakhâ yibbârê’ûn
ûthechaddêsh penêy ’adâmâh
31. it shall be the glory of Yahweh for ever
he rejoices Yahweh in his works
yehîy khebôwd YHWH le‘ôwlâm
yisemach YHWH bema‘asâyw
32. you attend to the earth and it trembles
reach out to the mountains and they rise in smoke
hammabîyt lâ’ârets wattire‘âd
yigga‘ behârîym weye‘eshânû
33. I will sing to Yahweh in my life
I will make music of praise to my God in my time
’âshîyrâh laYHWH bechayyây
azammerâh lê’lôhay be‘ôwdîy
34. let it be sweet/pleasing to him my contemplation
Surely I I will rejoice in Yahweh
ye‘erab ‘âlâyw sîychîy
’ânôkhîy ’esemach baYHWH
35. May they be finished sinners/those in error/those who miss from the earth
and the wicked/criminal yet none of them
Give blessing, my soul, to Yahweh - Hallelu Yah!
yittammû chattâ’îym min-hâ’ârets
ûreshâ‘îym ‘ôwd ’êynâm
bârekhîy napheshîy ’eth-YHWH halelû-yâh
