Psalm 68

2. Let Elohim arise, and his enemies will be scattered:
those who hate him will flee before his face.
yâqûm ’elôhîym yaphûtsû ’ôwyebâyw
weyânûçû mesane’âyw mippânâyw
3. As smoke is driven they will be driven away,
as wax melts before the face of fire -
the wicked will perish before the face of Elohim.
kehinedôph ‘âshân tinedôph
kehimmêç dôwnag mippenêy-’êsh
yô’bedû reshâ‘îym mippenêy ’elôhîym
4. But glad will be the righteous: they will delight in the face of Elohim,
they will rejoice with gladness.
wetsaddîyqîym yismechû ya‘aletsû liphenêy ’elôhîym
weyâsîysû besimechâh
5. Sing to Elohim! Make music of praise to his name!
Raise up a way for the Rider in the Plains by his name Yah!
Be triumphant at his face!
shîyrû lê’lôhîym zammerû shemôw
çôllû lârôkhêb bâ‘arâbôwth beyâh shemôw
we‘ilezû lephânâyw
6. Father of orphans and judge of widows
is Elohim in the dwelling-place of his holiness.
abîy yethôwmîym wedayyan ’alemânôwth
elôhîym bime‘ôwn qâdeshôw
7. Elohim restores individuals into households,
leads out prisoners into places of prosperity -
but the rebellious ever dwell in a thirsty land.

’akh çôwrerîym shâkhenû tsechîychâh
8. Elohim! At your setting out in front of your people,
at your marching in the wasteland - Çelah! -
elôhîym betsê’thekhâ liphenêy ‘ammekhâ
betsa‘dekhâ bîyshîymôwn çelâh
9. the land quaked, the skies wept before the face of Elohim -
even Sinai - before Elohim, God of Israel!
’erets râ‘âshâh ’aph-shâmayim nâtephû mippenêy ’elôhîym
zeh çîynay mippenêy ’elôhîym ’elôhêy yisrâ’êl
10. Gracious gifts you rain down, Elohim:
surely you established your inheritance when she was exhausted.

11. Your community settled there,
you made the needy strong with your happiness, Elohim.

13. Kings of armies flee in haste
while pretty girls at home divide the plunder.
malekhêy tsebâ’ôwth yiddôdûn yiddôdûn
ûnewath-bayith techallêq shâlâl
14. Even as you lie in your encampments,
the wings of a dove are covered with silver
and her plumage with pale gold.
’im-tishkebûn bêyn shephattâyim
kanephêy yôwnâh nechepâh bakkeçeph
we’eberôwtheyha bîyraqeraq chârûts
15. Shadday scatters kings as
snowfall on Tsalmon.
bephârês shadday melâkhîym bâh
tashelêg betsalemôwn
16. Mountain of Elohim, mountain of Bashan,
many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan.
har-’elôhîym har-bâshân
har gabenunnîym har-bâshân
17. Why look askance, you mountain ridges
at the mountain in which Elohim delights to take his rest?
Surely Yahweh will abide there forever!
lâmmâh teratstsedûn hârîym gabenunnîym
hâhâr châmad ’elôhîym leshibetôw
’aph-YHVH yishekôn lânâtsach
18. The chariotry of Elohim is twice ten thousand, thousand after thousand,
Adonay is amongst them like Sinai in sacredness.
rekeb ’elôhîym ribbôthayim ’alephêy shine’ân
adônây bâm çîynay baqqôdesh
19. You climbed to the heights - you took captivity captive,
you took gifts among mankind,
yes, even the rebellious - Yah Elohim abides there.

23. Adonay said, “I will return from Bashan,
I will return even from the deeps of the sea

’âshîyb mimmetsulôwth yâm
24. in order that you may stamp your feet in his blood,
so that your dog's tongues
have their share of your enemies.”

25. They watch your procession, Elohim,
the procession of my El, my king, into the holy place.

29. Your God commands your strength:
so be mighty, Elohim,
this you have done for us in the past!
tsiwwâh ’elôheykhâ ‘uzzekhâ
‘ûzzâh ’elôhîym
zû pâ‘aletâ lânû
30. From your temple at Yerushalam,
where kings bring tribute to you,
mêhêykhâlekhâ ‘al-yerûshâlâm
lekhâ yôwbîylû melâkhîym shây
31. rebuke those who live in sticks -
a company of the mighty like tribal calves,
squatting down amongst pieces of silver.
Scatter those people who delight in confrontation!

adath ’abbîyrîym be‘egelêy ‘ammîym
mitherappêç beratstsêy kâçeph
bizzar ‘ammîym qerâbôwth yechepâtsû
32. Representatives will come out of Egypt,
Kush will lift eager hands to Elohim.
yâ’ethâyû chashemannîym minnîy mitsrâyim
kûsh târîyts yâdâyw lê’lôhîym
33. Kingdoms of the earth, sing to Elohim,
make praise music to Adonay! - Çelah! -
mamlekhôth hâ’ârets shîyrû lê’lôhîym
zammerû ’adônây çelâh
34. to the Rider of the highest of the ancient skies.
Hear! He speaks in his mighty voice of power!
lârôkhêb bishemêy shemêy-qedem
hên yittên beqôwlôw qôwl ‘ôz

36. Elohim, you inspire awe from your holy place.
El of Israel is he, giver of strength and solidity to the people.
